We are committed to constantly and sustainably optimizing the use of resources. For example, we are constantly working on lean manufacturing to avoid unnecessary material consumption and overproduction. For example, we use sophisticated nesting programs to reduce sheet metal waste to a minimum. Recovered metals are returned to the material cycle. Waste is also segregated and recycled.

We have also implemented an energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001:2018. Thus we stand for an active commitment to the environment & nature.

For an industrial company like OMT, the careful use of energy has always been a decisive factor. We have therefore traditionally approached this topic with great respect. A positive energy footprint is part of our values not only for economic reasons. We take sustainability seriously. That is why we cover our energy needs with renewable energy from biogas, photovoltaic systems and heat recovery.
We are committed not only to making a positive contribution to environmental protection, but also to treating each other with respect and fairness. We treat our approximately 500 employees as equals in a spirit of trust and encourage their professional goals and commitment. But we also value appreciation and friendliness in our relationships with business partners, suppliers, and all people who show us interest.
As an expanding industrial company, we also plan ahead in terms of sustainability. For example, our new factory, which was built in 2018/2019, was constructed according to the highest energy efficiency standards. The state-of-the-art powder coating facility allows for full utilization of the waste heat generated. The innovative control of our machine and lighting technology guarantees the demand-oriented use of electricity and materials. At the same time, our production is organized in such a way that 98% of production waste is recycled.
Our processed raw materials, sheets and tubes, come from Germany and Europe. An important criterion in the procurement of all materials is the resource-saving transport route. When evaluating a product, our purchasing department does not only pay attention to the quality and the price, but also to the sustainability of the product.
